Etymologie
Engys (= nahe); prosopon (= Gesicht oder Vorderseite), vorgeschlagen als Untergattung von Rhomboidichthys (= Bothus) mit einem engen Interorbitalraum. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
