Verbreitung

Weit verbreitet im westlichen Pazifik, von Süd-Japan, Taiwan, dem Südchinesischen Meer bis zum Korallenmeer und der Saya de Malha Bank im westlichen Indischen Ozean. Bathymetrischer Bereich 30-240 m (Hensley & Amaoka, 2001).

Grund für die Gefährdungseinstufung: Diese Art wird selten mit Grundschleppnetzen gefangen. Wahrscheinlich gibt es aufgrund ihrer geringen Größe und Seltenheit kein kommerzielles Interesse an dieser Art.
