Etymologie
-ius (= zugehörig zu:) Cyrus, lateinischer Name des altgriechischen Kûros, bezieht sich auf den Fluss Kura bei Borschomi, eurasisches Georgien, Typuslokalität. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
Verbreitung
Eurasien: Einzugsgebiet des Kaspischen Meeres.

Status: Stand 8.3.2022:LC Least Concern (nicht gefährdet)
Gefahren für diese Art: Obwohl es in dem Gebiet viele Bedrohungen gibt, ist diese Art ziemlich allgegenwärtig und es wird nicht davon ausgegangen, dass sie stark beeinträchtigt wird.
