Etymologie
Der spezifische Name zephyrus bezieht sich auf den Namen des griechischen Gottes des Westwinds in Bezug auf die westliche Verbreitung der Arten im Verhältnis zu der von Stolephorus mercurius und Stolephorus rex, mit der sie zuvor verwechselt wurde.
Verbreitung
Westlicher Indischer Ozean: Ostküste Afrikas von Kenia bis Tansania, Mayotte-Inseln und Madagaskar.
