Etymologie
Helvola (= blass bräunlich-gelb, mit einer silbrig-braunen oder perlmuttartigen Färbung), als "argenteo helvolo vel matricis perlarum colore" beschrieben. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
Verbreitung
Nahezu weltweit in tropischen und subtropischen Meeren (einschließlich Rotes Meer, Persischer Golf, Japanisches Meer).
IUCN Status
Status: Stand 31.1.2022:LC Least Concern (nicht gefährdet)
Gefahren für diese Art: Diese Art wird wahrscheinlich als Beifang in der Schleppnetzfischerei gefangen und in der Subsistenzfischerei nachgestellt. Es wurde jedoch kein Rückgang der Populationen beobachtet oder vermutet, der darauf zurückzuführen wäre. Es gibt keine anderen bekannten größeren Bedrohungen für diese Art.
