Etymologie
Jabuti ist der portugiesische Name für diese Art, abgeleitet von dem portugiesischen Namen für Landschildkröten (Testudinidae) in Brasilien, was sich auf Ähnlichkeit in der Rückenfarbe bezieht, insbesondere wenn die Scheibe gewölbt ist. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
