Etymologie
Von angustus (= schmal); cauda (= Schwanz), bezieht sich auf verjüngten Schwanz, der länger als Kopf und Rumpf ist. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)

Indo-West Pazifik: Rotes Meer bis zu den Philippinen, Taiwan und Papua-Neuguinea.
