Typusfundort: Südlich des Saumarez Riffs, Saumarez Plateau, Queensland, Australien, 22°35.3'-36.3'S, 153°46.7'-50.1'E [ (Karte)], Tiefe 345-350 Meter.

Etymologie

Benannt nach dem CSIRO (Australian Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization) Fischereiforschungsschiff Soela, von dem aus der Typus gesammelt wurde und das wesentlich zur Sammlung von Fischen in Australien beigetragen hat. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
