in der Nähe von Imbariê, Gemeinde Duque de Caxias, Einzugsgebiet des Flusses Estrela (Übersetzt aus: Costa, 2009), 22°36'S, 43°12'W.
Etymologie
Aus dem Lateinischen opalescens (als Opal), bezogen auf die vorherrschende Färbung bei männlichen Tieren (Übersetzt aus: Costa, 2009).
Verbreitung
Einzugsgebiete der Flüsse Estrela und Iguaçu, beide entwässern in die Guanabara Bucht, Bundesstaat Rio de Janeiro, Brasilien (Übersetzt aus: Costa, 2009).
