Typusfundort: Green Turtle Cay, östlich von Little Abaco (Little Bahama Bank), Bahamas.
Etymologie
Saepe (= oft oder häufig); pallens (= blass), bezieht sich auf sein "gewöhnlich" blasses Aussehen. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
Verbreitung
Westlicher Atlantik: North Carolina bis Santa Catarina, Brasilien.
IUCN Status
Status: Stand 9.7.2022:LC Least Concern (nicht gefährdet)
Gefahren für diese Art: Es sind keine größeren Bedrohungen bekannt. Ctenogobius-Arten wurden bisher nicht als Bestandteil der Rotfeuerfisch-Nahrung beobachtet, so dass C. saepepallens wahrscheinlich nicht sehr anfällig als Beute der Rotfeuerfische ist.
