Typusfundort: Gnimi-Quartier Dorf Mbaya, im Fluss Moupoutoulou, Provinz Lékoumou, Republik Kongo (Fundort RPC 78/19).
Etymologie
Aus dem Griechischen pyrophore, feuertragend, sich auf das am Hinterkörper und Schwanzstiel befindliche feine, dunkelrot geflammte Querbindenmuster beziehend.
Verbreitung
Moupoutoulou- und oberes Ogooué-Flussbecken.
