Etymologie
Patronym nicht identifiziert, aber fast sicher zu Ehren von Bleekers niederländischem Kollegen, dem Zoologen Jan van der Hoeven (1801-1868), den er mit mehreren anderen Fischnamen geehrt hat. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
