Etymologie

Hemi- (= teilweise), bezieht sich auf die frühere Einordnung von Hemigobius melanurus in Gobius und/oder spiegelt Bleekers Einordnung dieses Taxon in eine Phalanx, die er Gobiini nannte. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
