Etymologie
Leuco- (= weiß); chilus (= Umrandung), bezogen auf weißliche Umrandung ohne Hautflecken entlang der Basen der vordersten Rückenflossenstrahlen und Fehlen von Pigmentflecken auf dem Isthmus (= vorderste Teil der Rumpfmuskulatur zwischen Schultergürtel und Zungenbein).
