Etymologie
Longus (= lang); rostris (= Schnauze), bezogen auf ihre relativ lange Schnauze, insbesondere im Vergleich zu der morphologisch ähnlichen Symphurus microrhynchus. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
Verbreitung
Nordwestpazifik: um Japan, in flacherem Wasser.
IUCN Status
Status: Stand 20.2.2022:LC Least Concern (nicht gefährdet)
