Etymologie
Neo (= neu), d.h. eine neue Gattung, die eng mit Paracentropogon (ursprüngliche Gattung der Typusart, Paracentropogon aeglefinus) verwandt ist und auch Centropogon ähnlich ist. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
