Etymologie
Albidus (= weißlich), bezogen auf seine „weiße und silbrige Hautfarbe“ [Der Name ist vorbelegt durch Gadus albidus Gmelin, 1789 (= Phycis blennoides in Gadidae), kann aber aufgrund der vorherrschenden Nutzung vielleicht beibehalten werden]. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
