Etymologie
Lux (= Licht); fero (= tragen), unter Bezugnahme auf die Möglichkeit, dass zwei linsenartige Organe, eines zwischen Bauchflossen und das andere unmittelbar vor dem Anus, biolumineszierend sein können (was sie sind!). (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
