Etymologie
Benannt zu Ehren des "geschätzten" Kollegen der Autoren, dem verstorbenen Jurij Nikolajewitsch Shcherbachev, in Anerkennung seiner langjährigen Studien über Fische am IORAS.
Verbreitung
Indischer Ozean: von Cochin, dem Golf von Bengalen, der Andamanensee, der Straße von Malakka bis zur Banda-See.
