Etymologie
Benannt nach dem Verbreitungsgebiet im Cumberland River.
Verbreitung
USA: Roaring Paunch Creek-System, ein Nebenfluss des Big South Fork und im Cumberland River-System oberhalb der Cumberland Fälle. Sammlungen von E. cumberlandicum in der Nähe von Cumberland Falls sind der Eagle Creek, McCreary Co., Kentucky und Bunches Creek, Whitely Co., Kentucky. Neben dem Hauptstrom des Cumberland Cumberland Rivers werden auch wichtige Nebenflüsse oberhalb der Cumberland Falls von E. cumberlandicum besiedelt, wie z.B. Marsh Creek, Jellico Creek, Clear Fork, Greasy Creek, Clear Creek, Yellow Creek, Brownies Creek, und Poor Fork des Cumberland Rivers. Sammlungen von E. cumberlandicum umfassen Standorte in Bell, Harlan, Letcher, McCreary und Whitely Counties, Kentucky und Campbell, Claiborne und Scott Counties, Tennessee.
