Etymologie
Xenos (= seltsam oder fremd (d.h. anders)), bezieht sich vermutlich darauf, dass die Ränder der Kiemenmembranen von Xenisthmus proriger (= Xenisthmus clarus) "frei vom Isthmus" sind. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
