Etymologie
Cephalus (= Kopf); ocelli (= Augenfleck), bezieht sich auf eine Reihe von Augenflecken am Kopf, die sich vom Maul schräg zum Nacken erstrecken. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
Verbreitung
Westatlantik: St. Eustatius, Bonaire, Barbados und St. Vincent.

Gefahren für diese Art: Die invasiven Rotfeuerfische fressen wahrscheinlich diese Art, aber es ist wenig über die Auswirkungen bekannt.
