Typusfundort: Bellinger River an der Mündung des Kip Creek an der Darkwood Road, ca. 26 km W bon Bellingen, NSW, 30°26'39.8"S, 152°37'14.1"E (Karte).
Etymologie
Die Spezies heißt bellingerensis in Bezug auf das Einzugsgebiet des Bellinger Rivers, wo dieses Taxon zuerst als eine unbeschriebene Spezies auf der Grundlage von genetisch Grundlagen erkannt worden war.
Verbreitung
Vorkommen nachgewiesen in vier Küstenflüsse von Mittel- bis Nord-NSW: Bellinger, Macleay, Hastings und Manning Einzugsgebiete. Auf der Grundlage von Höhenzonen ist T. bellingerensis häufig in der Küstenebene (3-30 m), im Tiefland (31-200 m) und Abdachungen (201-400 m), gelegentlich in höheren Lagen (401-700 m) und ist selten im Hochland (701-1.100 m).
