Etymologie
Benannt zu Ehren des verstorbenen Dr. Fernando Cervigón M., ehemals an der Universidad de Oriente, Venezuela, für seine Beiträge zur Ichthyologie und für die Entdeckung dieser Art.
Verbreitung
Nordküste der Halbinsel Araya und des Golfs von Paria, Venezuela, Karibische Inseln, Kleine Antillen, Dominica und Nordküste Brasiliens, Bundesstaat Pará.
