Etymologie
Kombiniert aus rhynchos (= Schnauze) und hyalinus (= transparent), bezieht sich auf lange, abgerundete und transparente Schnauze. Als Ersatzname für Hyalorhynchus Gilchrist & von Bonde, 1924, vorbelegt durch Hyalorhynchus Ogilby, 1910 bei Fischen. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
