Etymologie
Benannt zu Ehren des Unterwasserfotografen Richard Field, der zuerst vermutete, dass die Population von Chromis dimidiata im Indischen Ozean eine andere Art darstellen könnte.
Verbreitung
Rotes Meer; Indischer Ozean: Ostafrika, Südafrika, Sokotra, Seychellen, Komoren, Madagaskar und Maskarenen von Osten bis Westindonesien.
