Typusfundort: Vor dem Wrack der 'V. Lindenbank', äußeres Meeresriff 1,5 Meilen nordwestlich von English Harbor, Tabuaeran [= Fanning Island], Linieninseln, Zentralpazifik.
Etymologie
Aurulentus (= mit Gold verziert), bezieht sich auf die gelben Markierungen an Kopf, Körper und Schwanzflosse. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
Verbreitung
Zentraler Pazifik: Linieninseln und Korallenmeer.
IUCN Status
Status: Stand 22.1.2022:LC Least Concern (nicht gefährdet)
