Etymologie
Evolans (= wegfliegend), mit Bezug auf die langen, flügelartigen Brustflossen, die manchmal fast bis zum Schwanzflossenansatz reichen, Beschreibung basiert zum Teil auf der "kleineren fliegenden Trigla" von Browne (1756). (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
