Etymologie
Gracilis (= Schlank), bezieht sich auf den schlanken Körper der Art.
Verbreitung
Südwestlicher Pazifik: derzeit nur aus dem Osten Australiens (Queensland und New South Wales) bekannt. Die Exemplare wurden aus Tiefen von 32-374,9 m gesammelt.
