Etymologie
Bennant zur Erinnerung an Amanda Lucas Gimeno (1984-2006), die eine Studienkollegin der Seniorautorin war (sie starb an einem schweren Kopftrauma, beim Einsturz eines Balkons an der staatlichen Universität von Londrina während des ersten Tages des 26. brasilianischen Kongresses für Zoologie).

Bolivien, Brasilien, Paraguay und Argentinien: Paraná-Paraguay-Becken und rio Tietê.
