Etymologie
Etymologie nicht erklärt, vielleicht von potamos (= Fluss), bezogen auf die Verbreitung im Amazonas; rhine (= Raspel), bezogen auf "stark zurückgebogene spiniforme Schuppen" am Kiel von Potamorhina pristigaster. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
