Rotes Meer; Indo-Westpazifik: Südafrika, Ostafrika, Sokotra, Seychellen, Madagaskar und westliche Maskarenen östlich bis zum Wake-Atoll und der Pitcairn-Gruppe, nördlich bis Zentraljapan und den Ogasawara-Inseln, südlich bis Rottnest Island (Westaustralien), New South Wales (Australien), nördliches Neuseeland, Kermadec-Inseln und Rapa.
