Etymologie
Benannt nach der Typuslokalität: Eregli.
Verbreitung
Türkei: weit verbreitet im Manavgat-Fluss (Mittelmeerbecken) und endorheische Karaman-, Ereğli-, Beyşehir- und Suğla-Becken in Zentralanatolien. Die Art wurde seit mehr als 20 Jahren nicht mehr an ihrer Typuslokalität (Ereğli) gefunden, da die Sümpfe von Ereğli ausgetrocknet sind.
