Typen

Holotypus: ZSI 1383/1 (verloren).
Typusfundort: Gulf of Aden, 13°36'N, 47°32'E (Karte), Tiefe: 130 fathoms.

Etymologie

Nach ETYFish Project konnte das Patronym nicht ermittelt werden. Es könnte sich dabei aber um Rodolfo Amando Philippi handeln, der sich zu dieser Zeit ebenfalls mit Rochen beschäftigt hat.
