Etymologie
Labeosus (= dicklippig), bezogen auf sehr dicke Lippen, schwach aber regelmäßig gefaltet. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
Verbreitung
Asien: Indien, Myanmar und Thailand. Gefunden im Salween-Becken bei Mae Sahm Leap, Provinz Mae Hong Son.
IUCN Status
Status: Stand 17.04.2019:LC Least Concern (nicht gefährdet)
Gefahren für diese Art: Die Art ist durch destruktive Fischereitechniken wie Dynamitfischen und Vergiftung bedroht.
