Etymologie
Armiger (= trägt Arme), bezieht sich vermutlich auf den langen Rückenflossenstachel (der länger als der Kopf ist) und vielleicht auch auf seine Brustflossenstacheln. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
Verbreitung
Westpazifik: nördliches Australien und südliches Neuguinea.
