Benannt zu Ehren von J. E. Carberry aus Malindi, Kenia, der Smiths Arbeit "sehr unterstützt" hat, möglicherweise John Evans Carberry (1892-1970), der zu dieser Zeit ein Geschäft in Malindi betrieb. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
