Etymologie
Patronym nicht identifiziert, aber mit ziemlicher Sicherheit zu Ehren von Ludwig Speigler (1824-1893), der viele der Illustrationen in Bleekers "Atlas Ichthyologique des Orientales Neerlandaises" lieferte. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
