Etymologie
Benannt zu Ehren von Albert Honoré Charles Grimaldi (1848-1922), Albert I., Fürst von Monaco, der in seinem Fürstentum das Institut Océanographique gründete, das die Beschreibung dieses Fisches veröffentlichte.
Verbreitung
Ostatlantik: 40°N bis 40°S, einschließlich Azoren, Madeira, Kanarische Inseln; Westatlantik: Bahamas-Inseln; Indo-Westpazifik: östlich bis zu den Hawaii-Inseln.
IUCN Status
Status: Stand 22.2.2022:LC Least Concern (nicht gefährdet)
Gefahren für diese Art: Die derzeitigen Bedrohungen für diese Art sind unbekannt. Da es sich um eine Tiefwasserart handelt, sind die Bedrohungen wahrscheinlich begrenzt.
