Etymologie
Benannt zu Ehren von Carlos Alberto Santos de Lucena, Ichthyologe und Kurator der Fischsammlung des Museu de Ciências e Tecnologia, PUCRS, für seine Arbeit und seine Unterstützung mehrerer Forscher haben wesentlich zur Erweiterung des Wissens über die neotropische Ichthyofauna beigetragen.
Verbreitung
Brasilien: bekannt aus den Nebenflüssen des Rio Tramandaí, des Rio Mampituba und des Rio Araranguá im Süden Brasiliens.
