Etymologie
Angustus (= schmal); manus (= Hand), bezieht sich auf „schmale, lange“ Brustflossen. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
Verbreitung
Ostpazifik: Südkalifornien bis Kolumbien.
IUCN Status
Status: Stand 9.06.2021:LC Least Concern (nicht gefährdet)
Gefahren für diese Art: Es gibt keine größeren Bedrohungen für diese Art. Die Art wird in kleinen Mengen in der lokalen Schleppnetzfischerei gefangen; es gibt keine FAO-Berichte.
