Typen
Holotypus: NHMUK PV P73711; ein beinahe vollständiger Zahn (entweder oberer rechter oder unterer linker Seitenzahn, basierned auf distaler Höckerneigung und asymmetrische Wurzel).
- Typus Lokalität: A sea cliff along Moesgård Strand in Denmark (56°04’53”N, 010°15’07”E (Karte)).
- Typus Schicht: Pyt Member of the late Eocene Søvind Marl Formation.
Etymologie
Zu Ehren von Alison Ward, die David J. Ward bei der Feldarbeit und Sediment-Sortierung unterstützt hat, die zur Entdeckung des Typus-Exemplars führte.
