Benannt nach dem alten Namen des Staates, in dem sich die Typuslokalität befindet: Persien (= Iran).
Verbreitung
Nordwestlicher Indischer Ozean: Persischer Golf, westlich bis zum Roten Meer und südlich bis Südafrika.
