Etymologie
Benannt nach dem Atlantischen Ozean, da diese Gattung bis dato nur aus dem Pazifik bekannt war.
Verbreitung
Bekannt von acht Fundorten in der Karibik, zwei Fundorten im Nordostatlantik und einem Fundort in der Salomonen-See im Südwest-Pazifik. Leucicorus atlanticus ist die am tiefsten lebende Art der Gattung.
