Benannt nach dem Rio Beni, in dessen Einzugsgebiet die Typuslokalität liegt.
Verbreitung
Bolivien: Einzugsgebiet des Río Beni, oberes Einzugsgebiet des Río Madeira.
IUCN Status
Status: Stand 30.09.2023:LC Least Concern (nicht gefährdet)
Gefahren für diese Art: In Teilen ihres Verbreitungsgebiets wird diese Art durch die Landwirtschaft (Abholzung der Wälder und Einsatz von Agrochemikalien) und den Goldbergbau beeinträchtigt.
