Etymologie

Vicarius (= Ersatz oder Stellvertreter), Anspielung nicht erklärt, vielleicht in Bezug darauf, dass dieser Cichlide, der im Edward- und Georgsee vorkommt, "nahe" zu Haplochromis cinereus aus dem Victoriasees ist. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
