Etymologie
Von urano (= Himmel); scopus (= Betrachter), bezieht sich auf schräg gesetzte Augen, die nach oben gerichtet sind, mehr in Richtung Stirn. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
Verbreitung
Europa: Donauabfluss (nicht im Hauptfluss der Donau, ausgenommen ihr Oberlauf und Bereiche mit schneller Strömung).
IUCN Status
LC Least Concern (nicht gefährdet) Gefahren für diese Art: Die Art ist empfindlich gegen Verschmutzung und Dammbauten und ist lokal bedroht. Es wird erwartet, dass die Gesamtpopulation mit fortschreitender wirtschaftlicher Entwicklung weiter abnimmt. Die Art ist in Deutschland und Teilen Österreichs ausgestorben. Art ist im Anhang III der Berner Übereinkunft (geschützte Fauna). |
