Etymologie

Longus (= lang); nema (= Faden), bezieht sich auf die langen Narinen, die über die Augenhöhle hinausreichen.

Verbreitung

China: oberes Salween- (Nujiang) und Mekong- (Lancangjiang) Flussgebiet, Yunnan; außerhalb Chinas im unteren Teil des Salween-Flussbeckens und im Mae Klong-Becken.
