Typusfundort: Südchinesisches Meer, etwa 120 Meilen südlich von Cape Bastion, Insel Hainan, 16°40.5'N, 109°49.9'E (Karte), Tiefe 280-378 Faden.
Etymologie
Dekas (= zehn); cuspidatus (= spitz), bezogen auf fünf (manchmal vier) Höckerpaare auf jeder Seite jedes oberen Zahns. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
Verbreitung
Südchinesisches Meer, westlicher Nordpazifik.
