Etymologie
Oön (= Ei); phyla (= Wächter), d.h. Eierbewacher, in Anlehnung an das "hartnäckige" Eierbewachungsverhalten von brütenden Männchen. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
Verbreitung
USA: Tennessee and Kentucky: Nebenflüsse des unteren Tennessee River vom Lick Creek stromabwärts bis zum Ohio River; Einzugsgebiet des Obion River (Zufluss zum Mississippi).

Status: Stand 20.04.2023:LC Least Concern (nicht gefährdet)
